This is perhaps the most thorough craigslist post for a car I've ever seen in my life. I've got the money and BK is a hop skip and jump from me but idk man $5k German car is most expensive German car.

Agreed, but you can't get a wolf in sheep's clothing in this condition for three times this price! Besides, this is kind of like a slightly-aged, more mature wolf in baby sheep's clothing, which is fine by me. I once fell in love with a $2000 Craigslist W123 300E 2.6 (with a 190E's 5MT swapped in) just like this, but when I took it for a PPI, I discovered that it was shot to shit. While I had only wasted $120 and a few hours driving on it, I have badly wanted a W124 ever since. With a V8, I could do amazing things. These aren't quite as overengineered as the pre-'92 models, but they are hardly built to a price.
By the way, congrats on the new car. Owning a car sporting the prancing horse and a gated manual is any car person's ultimate desire, no matter what their favorite car is. I hope you find it to be at least marginally reliable (although in terms of excitement, it will never fail you). I dream of owning even a Mondial—a 360, while people will always bash it, is so far from the worst Ferrari. The only bad Ferrari is one that is not what a Ferrari should be, and the only bad Ferrari is a new Ferrari IMO. They are about driving experience. Allow me to end my ramblings here.
